Location: ‘s-Hertogenbosch area, Netherlands
Starting date: 1 march
Contract: Full-time 38 hours, 1st month probation
Gross salary: Approximately €2,600 – €2,800 gross per month depending on experience
Extra’s: Reservations for holiday (8%), holidays and tips
Accommodation: A room in a shared house will be provided or a studio/apartment in case you are coming with a close friend or your partner.
Price accommodation: Approx. €700 per month including the bills. (Gas, Water, Heating, Electricity, Internet, City tax, Waste)
About the hotel
The hotel is located in the city center of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. It’s a large hotel with a restaurant for both guests of the hotel as people just passing by. The hotel has a busy lunch with classical dishes and sandwiches. The diner-menu is also containing classical dishes combined with more trendy dishes. The hotel is starting to take the kitchen to a higher level in 2025, with a new chef who is coming from a fancy fine dining place in Amsterdam.
Specially on weekends it can be very busy but also during weekdays there is always movement in the hotel.
About the Role
As a line cook, you will play an important role in our kitchen team, working together with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver stabile quality on our dishes. This position offers the opportunity to improve your culinary skills, contribute to menu development, and help maintain the standards of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and present dishes in your section to the quality standards.
- Menu Collaboration: Assist in the development and refinement of new menu items. New ideas are always welcome.
- Quality Control: Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring minimal waste.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service.
What We’re Looking For
- Min. 1 year proven experience as a line cook or similar role.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Passion for cooking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Culinary education is a plus.
